On Feb. 8th Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N High Commissioner for Refugees, Angelina Jolie visited the people of Haiti to which her & Brad Pitt have donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders. In this article People have highlighted her trip and some of those she has visited.
Upon rumors that she and Brad might adopt from the region Angelina has stressed:
"New adoptions should definitely not be encouraged as an immediate response to the emergency."

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Visit Jordan
The Honorary Chairman, Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, invited the couple to visit on October 1. This was not Angelina's first visit. She has come back a bunch of times one of those times being in 2003 where she was able to bring much joy and happiness to the people. After being so touched by SOS and the children Angelina made a generous donation to help their living costs.
Her and Brad have made a very generous donation to SOS Children's Villages. SOS Children's Villages was founded back in 1949. Children who have been abandoned or orphaned come to SOS and are integrated into a very loving family environment where they receive clothing, food, & medical. As well as a great education.

Angelina Urges Us Not To Forget Iraqi Refugees
Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie called upon the International community not to forget the Iraqi refugees who remain in exile due to the severe trama they have experienced.
"Most Iraqi refugees cannot return to Iraq in view of the severe trauma they experienced there, the uncertainty linked to the coming Iraqi elections, the security issues and the lack of basic services. They will, therefore, be in need of continued support from the international community."
Angelina was accompanied by Brad Pitt on this visit to Damascus.

Angelina goes on to state that if she'd been educating about refugees while in her teens that it would probably have gotten her through her youth easier.

World Refugee Day Commemoration
With WFD (world refugee day) coming up on June 20th UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie joins the commemoration in Washington D.C. today. This years theme will be "real people, real needs" . As an American, she said, "I know the strength that diversity has given my country – a country built by what some would now dismiss as asylum-seekers and economic migrants – and I believe we must persuade the world that refugees must not be simply viewed as a burden. They are the survivors. And they can bring those qualities to the service of their communities and the countries that shelter them.
"The refugees I have met and spent time with have profoundly changed my life," Jolie added. "Today . . . I want to thank them for letting me into their lives."

Angelina Jolie Spotlights Child Soldiers
Today Angelina Jolie attended a trial of a Congolese warlord charged with using child soldiers held at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
Angelina said the case against Thomas Lubanga is a “landmark trial for children.” Children deserve special protection. Using children in conflict is a heinous crime and destroys the very fabric of a society. I imagined how difficult it must be for all the brave young children who have come to testify against him.”
The United Nations estimates up to 250,000 child soldiers still fight in more than a dozen countries.
